Furnace Repair

Expert Furnace Repair by Epperson Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning

Maintaining year-round relaxation shouldn’t be something that you have to fret about every time you switch between your air conditioner and furnace as the temperatures fluctuate. While you certainly don’t wish to have to even think about the possibility of your furnace going out in the dead of winter, it can be a realistic possibility with every transitioning year – especially if you’re not timely with annual furnace service.

At Epperson Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning, we recognize that having the make a call in the middle of the night, on one of the lowest temperature nights in Hilton Head Island isn’t on any list of to-dos that you have, but it’s important to note that we should be your opening call. Regardless of the hour, the team at Epperson Service Experts has a NATE-certified technician ready 24/7/365 to be there in your time of need. We can help get your furnace back up and functioning so everything can get back to routine and you can start enjoying the luxury of your home once again.

Regardless of the make, model or age of your furnace, we have the proficiency required to get your system back up and running quickly and correctly, the first time. We equate the repair process to having a doctor do a checkup, find a diagnosis and then work to align the issue.

However, before giving us a call, there are a few tips that you should keep in mind:

  • Is your thermostat set to “heat”? – when the weather finally changes and it is time to turn on your furnace, it’s easy to forget to flip the switch over to “heat” for the season. And believe it or not, it’s more common than you’d think. Do a fast check to make sure yours is set properly.
  • Furnace switch – it looks like a regular light switch, but it manages your furnace. It should be in the Up, or On, position. Once On, your furnace won’t start up rapidly, but should turn on in a couple minutes as there are built-in delays in most systems.
  • Furnace filter – filters are regularly forgotten about, but are one of the largest culprits when it comes to inefficient service and poor performance for your furnace. Make sure you transition your filter every one to three months to have solid performance.
  • Circuit breaker – if your furnace is not working, anazlyze the emergency shut off and your breaker. Cycle it by switching them off, then on again. If the system still doesn’t function, call us to help you dispose of the source of the issue.

*If you notice a strong gas smell, call Epperson Service Experts immediately.
