He is not only professional and very knowledgeable, but also an enjoyable person to be around and I have come to consider him a friend. As long as John continues to work for Epperson, I will remain an Epperson customer. I have referred Epperson to neighbors who then signed up for service contracts based solely on John's expertise."

"Epperson installed a brand new Air Conditioner and coil 7 years ago due to refrigeration leaks. Two weeks ago I was informed that there were leaks again due to coil corrosion. Last week I was informed that it would take 5 weeks to obtain a new replacement coil. Inside temperature have reached 85 degrees as we wait for this coil. I continue to wait for Eric to return my calls after leaving 3 requests with customer service representatives."

"On Monday evening August 2nd, I received an urgent request email from Lennox with a 413 error code message. According to the email a notice was sent to YOU also. I called Epperson the morning of August 3rd at approximately 8:00EST. I am in Chicago an no one is at the residence. Your call center, I didn't know what language the people were speaking to me, I couldn't understand them. After going through the details of the error report they said I would be hearing back within 2 hours of the time of the service technician. This is important because I have to schedule someone to go to the house and wait for your tech to arrive. Nobody called me back within the 2 hour period. So I called back and spoke with another customer service rep who then told me I should never had been told I would receive a call within 2 hours and I should just wait for a call. I called back mid-afternoon and was again told to wait. Finally I got a call at 4:40pmEST that the service tech was on his way. I sent my person over to the house to wait. After 2 hours I called my person and she said the service technician had still not arrived. I called Epperson back and was put on hold for 10 minutes to find the time of the service call. The tech finally arrived and said I had a burned out fan motor and he told me I would be notified on Wednesday the availability of the motor and when the unit would be fixed. Nobody called me on Wednesday. I called back Thursday morning, today, and was told the repair would take place today but they could not give me a time. I explained all the trouble I had been through and the call service representative told me a Manager would call me back in 15 minutes to explain the situation. It is now 2 hours later and no one has yet to call me back. Your service is terrible."

"The men who came to do the repairs were polite, efficient and reliable, but the call system which you use was extremely vexing. I had to call your company almost 20 times for the same maintenance visit. My calls went to a call center in Texas, and they all needed to know my name, address, age and other biographical information. They did not appear to make any records of my calls, so everything had to be repeated over and over. In general they admitted their embarrassment that they had no mechanism of actually getting in touch with your company, and obtaining information about my appointment. Finally, an appointment was made, though no one from your company came on this day. At long last, someone from your company called and claimed that they had no record of this appointment. She took pity on me, and actually set up an appointment for the service visit, without the need to call back to the the calling center in Texas. Your system is badly broken, and I have no doubt that you know that this is true. The question is whether you intend to fix it. I would appreciate a call so that I might learn whether I will continue to have these problems for every visit."

It was a substitute that was used as the one for the system was not available. This is inexcusable and indicated poor customer service by both Lennox and Epperson. I gave an 8 rating because I finally realized, after 3 months of waiting, that the exact replacement for the existing thermostat was never going to be available. It has been discontinued or indefinitely back ordered! I wished someone at Epperson had informed me of this sooner. I had to make several phone calls to get this issue resolved and someone to come to my home to replace. Also, I wished the technician had been a little bit more knowledgeable about the thermostat he installed; when asked " how do I set up this system using the app and integrating with the existing thermostat in another room", he referred me to the manual. Wasn't really comfortable with the technology."

"HVAC service performed by John was great. No complaints. Very disappointed with the water heater installation and the cold air return install. Danny was very pleasant but we found his customer service to be unsatisfactory. He did not provide any orientation regarding the water heater (how to adjust temperature, troubleshooting). Nor did he test the water after installation. He also left garbage in the attic. On his way out the door he handed me the box from the leak detector and said "download the app." In my opinion, he should have worked with us to complete, install and test the app. The cold air return installation was also a disappointment. Scott did not share with us the size of the fixture. We were surprised at the 14x14 size and would have opted for something smaller if we had been given the option. I was also surprised that Scott came by to collect a check as opposed to being billed or paying via credit card. It is now Sunday, 11/29 and less than 1 week since the water heater was installed. It is no longer working and we are awaiting a service call but have not heard from the technician. We were expecting a more positive experience."
